Archie was the main vilian in Pokemon Sapphire and Emerald. He is the boss of Team Aqua. His Theme music is rated as one of the highest of the game.

• Despite being the leader of Team Aqua, an organization with water-centric goals, none of his Pokémon can learn a water type moves
• In a demo of Ruby and Sapphire at Pokémon Festa 2002 in Japan, players started with a level 12 Sharpedo, suggesting Carvanha wasn't related to Sharpedo by evolution, it evolved at a lower level or by other means (such as an evolutionary stone or trading), or that Carvanha didn't initially exist.

• Sharpedo's name is a combination of the words shark and torpedo. The first part of its name may also be derived from sharp, referencing its fins and Rough Skin ability

• Both of Persian's abilities can be used by a member of the Tyrouge evolutionary family. Hitmonlee with Limber and Hitmontop with Technician.
• Out of the three original stages of Ralts, Gardevoir is the only one that had its name change in English.
•  Despite Pokedex entires stating that Sableye digs to feed on minerals,it cannot learn Dig without the use of a TM.
