Powers up moves of the same type. Moves with the same type as this Pokemon become more powerful.

Aftermath

Damages the foe landing the finishing hit. "When this Pokemon is fainted by a contact move, the attacker takes 1/4 its max HP in damage."

Air Lock

Eliminates the effects of weather. Weather does not affect this Pokemon.

Analytic

This Pokémon inflicts more damage when it moves last in a turn.

Anger Point

Raises Attack upon taking a critical hit. This Pokemon's Attack rises to its maximum when it is hit with a critical hit.

Antagonist

Stat modifiers are inverted for this Pokémon.

Anticipation

Senses the foe's dangerous moves. This Pokemon will be aware when an opposing Pokemon with a move that would do super-effective damage against it switches in.

Arena Trap

Prevents the foe from fleeing. Prevents enemy Pokemon (except Flying Pokemon and Pokemon that can Levitate) from running or being switched out.

Bad Dreams

Reduces a sleeping foe's HP. Enemy Pokemon lose HP every turn they are Sleeping.

Battle Armor

The Pokémon is protected against critical hits. No moves will critically hit this Pokemon.

Big Pecks

This Pokémon's Defense cannot be lowered.

Blaze

Powers up Fire-type moves in a pinch. "When this Pokemon's HP is 1/3 its max or lower, its Fire moves do 50% more damage."

Cacaphony

An ability programmed into the Generation III games; but never used. It has since been removed from the programming as of Generation IV.

Chlorophyll

Boosts the Pokémon's Speed in sunshine. This Pokemon's Speed doubles during Sunny Day.

Clear Body

Prevents the Pokémon's stats from being lowered. This Pokemon's stats cannot be lowered.

Cloud Nine

Eliminates the effects of weather. Weather does not affect this Pokemon.

Color Change

Changes the Pokémon's type to the foe's move. This Pokemon's type changes to that of the last move that inflicted damage.

Compoundeyes

The Pokémon's accuracy is boosted. This Pokemon's moves receive a 30% increase in Accuracy.

Contrary

Stat modifiers are inverted for this Pokemon.

Cursed Body

Moves that hit this Pokémon have a 30% chance of being Disabled afterward.

Cute Charm

Contact with the Pokémon may cause infatuation. Enemy Pokemon have a 30% chance of becoming Attracted every time they touch this Pokemon.

Damp

Prevents combatants from self destructing. Neither this Pokemon nor the enemy can use Explosion or Selfdestruct.

Defeatist

This Pokemon’s Attack and Special Attack are halved when it has less than half of its HP.

Defiant

When any of this Pokémon's stats are lowered, its Attack rises by two stages.

Adjusts power according to the foe's ability. "When this Pokemon enters battle, it raises one level in the Attack stat corresponding to its opponent's weaker Defense stat."

Drizzle

The Pokémon makes it rain if it appears in battle. Rain Dance is in effect while this Pokemon is in battle.

Reduces HP if it is hot. Water restores HP. "This Pokemon gradually loses HP per turn during Sunny Day, and gradually heals during Rain Dance. This Pokemon takes double damage from Fire attacks, but Water attacks heal it for 1/4 its HP."

Early Bird

The Pokémon awakens quickly from sleep. "This Pokemon wakes up from Sleep in half as many turns, including Sleep from Rest."

Effect Spore

Contact may paralyze, poison, or cause sleep. Enemy Pokemon have a 30% chance of becoming Paralyzed, Poisoned, or Asleep every time they touch this Pokemon.

Fainthearted

This Pokémon's Attack and Special Attack are halved when it has less than half its HP.

Filter

Powers down super-effective moves. This Pokemon takes half damage from super-effective moves.

Flame Body

Contact with the Pokémon may burn the foe. Enemy Pokemon have a 30% chance of becoming Burned every time they touch this Pokemon.

Flare Boost

This Pokémon has 1.5x— its Special Attack when burned.

Flash Fire

Powers up Fire-type moves if hit by a fire move. "When this Pokemon takes damage from a Fire move, it becomes immune to Fire moves and all its Fire moves do 50% more damage until it leaves battle."

Flower Gift

Powers up party Pokémon when it is sunny. "During Sunny Day, this Pokemon changes form and both it and its ally's Attack and Special Attack increase by 50%."

Forecast

CASTFORM transforms with the weather. This Pokemon's type changes to match the weather.

Forewarn

Determines what moves the foe has. "This Pokemon can see its opponent's move with the highest power, or one of them at random in the case of a tie."

Friend Guard

This Pokémon's moves inflict less damage against friendly Pokémon.

Frisk

The Pokémon can check the foe's held item. This Pokemon can see what enemy Pokemon are holding.

Gluttony

Encourages the early use of a held Berry. This Pokemon will eat held berries triggered by low HP at 1/2 its max HP rather than 1/4.

Guts

Boosts Attack if there is a status problem. "When this Pokemon has a major status ailment, its Attack increases by 50%."

Harvest

After each turn, if this Pokémon ate a held Berry or used it with Natural Gift that turn, the Pokémon regains its Berry. If the Pokémon then meets the requirements to eat the Berry again, it will do so immediately, and will not be able restore the Berry again.

Healer

Friendly Pokémon next to this Pokémon in double and triple battles each have a 30% chance of being cured of any major status ailment after each turn.

Heat Proof

Weakens the power of Fire-type moves. This Pokemon takes half damage from Fire moves.

Heavy Metal

This Pokémon has double the usual weight for its species.

Honey Gather

The Pokémon may gather Honey from somewhere. This Pokemon picks up a Sweet Honey after battle.

Huge Power

Raises the Pokémon's Attack stat. This Pokemon's Attack is doubled.

Hustle

"Boosts the Attack stat, but lowers accuracy.""This Pokemon's base Attack is increased by 50%, but its physical moves have 80% of their usual accuracy."

Hydration

Heals status problems if it is raining. This Pokemon is cured of any major status effects during Rain Dance.

Hyper Cutter

Prevents the Attack stat from being lowered. This Pokemon cannot have its Attack lowered.

Ice Body

The Pokémon regains HP in a hailstorm. This Pokemon regains HP during Hail.

Illuminate

Raises the likelihood of meeting wild Pokémon. "If this Pokemon is first on your belt, the chance of a wild encounter rises."

Illusion

This Pokémon, upon being sent out, appears to have the species, nickname, and Poké Ball of the last Pokémon in the party that is able to battle. This illusion breaks upon being hit by a damaging move.

Immunity

Prevents the Pokémon from getting poisoned. This Pokemon cannot become Poisoned.

Imposter

This Pokémon uses Transform upon entering battle.

Infiltrator

This Pokémon's moves ignore Light Screen, Reflect, and Safeguard.

Inner Focus

The Pokémon is protected from flinching. This Pokemon will not Flinch.

Insomnia

Prevents the Pokémon from falling asleep. This Pokemon cannot become Asleep.

Intimidate

Lowers the foe's Attack stat. This Pokemon lowers the enemy's Attack one level when it enters battle.

Iron Barbs

Whenever a move makes contact with this Pokémon, the move's user takes 1/8 of its maximum HP in damage.

Iron Fist

Boosts the power of punching moves. This Pokemon's Punch moves do 20% more damage.

Justified

Whenever a Dark type move hits this Pokémon, its Attack rises one stage.

Keen Eye

Prevents the Pokémon from losing accuracy. This Pokemon cannot have its Accuracy lowered.

Klutz

The Pokémon can't use any held items. This Pokemon cannot use its held item.

Leaf Guard

Prevents status problems in sunny weather. This Pokemon is immune to major status effects during Sunny Day.

Levitate

Gives full immunity to all Ground-type moves. This Pokemon does not take damage from Ground moves.

Light Metal

This Pokémon has half the usual weight for its species.

Lightningrod

The Pokémon draws in all Electric-type moves. This Pokemon takes damage from Electric moves aimed at its partner.

Limber

The Pokémon is protected from paralysis. This Pokemon cannot become Paralyzed.

Liquid Ooze

Inflicts damage on foes using any draining move. "When the enemy uses absorbtion moves on this Pokemon, it loses HP instead of gaining."

Magic Bounce

When this Pokémon is targeted by a nondamaging move flagged as being reflectable, as most nondamaging, nonselftargetted moves are, the move is redirected to its user.

Magic Guard

The Pokémon only takes damage from attacks. This Pokemon is immune to damage not caused directly by an attack.

Magma Armor

Prevents the Pokémon from becoming frozen. This Pokemon cannot become Frozen.

Magnet Pull

Prevents Steel-type Pokémon from escaping. Steel enemies cannot run or be switched out.

Marvel Scale

Boosts Defense if there is a status problem. "When this Pokemon has a status condition, its Defense increases by 50%."

Minus

Boosts Sp. Atk if another Pokémon has Plus. "When this Pokemon's partner has Plus, its Special Attack increases by 50%."

Mold Breaker

Moves can be used regardless of abilities. Enemy Pokemon cannot prevent attacks with abilities.

Moody

After each turn, one of this Pokémon's stats at random rises two stages, and another falls one stage.

Motor Drive

Raises Speed if hit by an Electric-type move. This Pokemon's Speed rises one level when it is struck by an Electric move.

Moxie

This Pokémon's Attack rises one stage upon knocking out another Pokémon, even a friendly Pokémon.

Multiscale

This Pokémon takes half as much damage when it is hit having full HP.

Multitype

Changes type to match the held Plate. This Pokemon changes type and form to match the Plate it holds.

Mummy

Whenever a contact move hits this Pokémon, the attacking Pokémon's ability changes to mummify.

Natural Cure

All status problems are healed upon switching out. This Pokemon's status returns to normal when it leaves battle.

No Ability

This Pokemon has no special ability.

No Guard

Ensures the Pokémon and its foe's attacks land. All damage-inflicting moves have 100% Accuracy while this Pokemon is in battle.

Normalize

All the Pokémon's moves become the Normal type. All of this Pokemon's moves are Normal.

Oblivious

Prevents the Pokémon from becoming infatuated. This Pokemon cannot become Attracted.

Overcoat

This Pokémon does not take damage from weather.

Overgrow

Powers up Grass-type moves in a pinch. "When this Pokemon's HP is 1/3 its max or lower, its Grass moves do 50% more damage."

Prevents the Pokémon from becoming confused. This Pokemon cannot become Confused.

Pickpocket

Whenever a move makes contact with this Pokémon, it steals the attacker's held item if it does not already have an item.

The Pokémon may pick up items. "After battle, this Pokemon will sometimes be holding an item if it was not already."

The Pokémon raises the foe's PP usage. Opposing Pokemon must use 2 PP per move.

Boosts the power of physical attacks. This Pokemon's Attack is doubled.

Quick Feet

Boosts Speed if there is a status problem. This Pokemon's Speed rises one level when it has a major status effect.

Rain Dish

The Pokémon gradually recovers HP in rain. This Pokemon regains 1/16 its max HP every turn during Rain Dance.

Rivalry

Raises Attack if the foe is of the same gender. This Pokemon's Attack rises when fighting an enemy of the same gender.

Rock Head

Protects the Pokémon from recoil damage. This Pokemon does not receive any recoil from moves.

Rough Skin

Inflicts damage to the foe on contact. Enemy Pokemon receive 1/8 their max HP in damage every time they touch this Pokemon.

Run Away

Enables sure getaway from wild Pokémon. This Pokemon can always run from wild battles.

Sand Force

During a sandstorm, this Pokémon's Rock, Ground, and Steeltype moves have 1.3x— their base power. This Pokémon does not take sandstorm damage, regardless of type.

Raises Speed each time the Pokémon flinches. This Pokemon's Speed rises one level when it Flinches.

Stench

The Pokémon copies the foe's ability. This Pokemon copies the ability of the enemy when entering battle.

Truant

The Pokémon can't attack on consecutive turns. "Whenever this Pokemon deals damage, it skips its next turn."

Turboblaze

When this Pokémon acts, if the target has an ability that would hinder or prevent this Pokémon's selected move, that ability is ignored.

Unaware
